TikTok, the renowned platform for viral videos, has unveiled an innovative addition to its TikTok Shop service—a dedicated ‘refurbished technology’ category. This new feature allows users to purchase pre-owned mobile phones from selected partners.
The UK-based merchants introduced today include eFones, Box.co.uk, and Yoltso. Collaborating with software companies like Blackbelt Defence and PhoneCheck, TikTok Shop has also focused on testing, quality control, and certification to ensure the reliability of these refurbished devices.
This launch represents the latest strategic move by TikTok in its quest to transform its platform into a thriving shopping destination. TikTok’s Shop UK service has already established product categories such as ‘Pets,’ ‘Parenting,’ ‘Wellness,’ and ‘Books.’ Expanding its offerings to include mobile devices aligns perfectly with TikTok’s observation that the #UsediPhone hashtag alone has garnered a staggering 100 million views.
